The falls share a junction with the Appalachian Trail. The white blaze meets the blue-and-white diamond of the Benton MacKaye about three-tenths of a mile before the waterfall.
Flow is strongest from February to May. In late summer the falls narrow to a pair of threads over a dark rock face, still beautiful, less dramatic.
